About Us
Our Story
Georgina Pride was founded in 2015, by Danielle Sheridan and her mother, Leah Sheridan. The purpose of our organization was to build a community within our community.
Through Danielle’s journey, she pursued her idea of finding others like her, as well as supporting others in need so that no one feels alone. Since 2015, we have achieved nearly 1000 members and have an amazing team of volunteers.
Our Mission
To bring awareness to our community, that we are here, and that we are loud and we are proud! To build a community where everyone is included, valued, and honored. A community where, all people can live happy and feel safe and welcome. To be an inclusive community, free of hatred, and prejudiced. We strive to create safe spaces for all. We will continue to network, to bring awareness and support to those that are needing help. Celebrating diversity, and building a stronger community within our community, of 2SLGBTQ+ and allies. We are giving people a chance to be heard, included , valued and honored.
This is an all inclusive community for all to celebrate who they are!
Our Team
Founded by Danielle Sheridan in June 2015 with the help of her mother, Leah Sheridan. Since 2015, we have grown very fast within the past few years, at first it was slow, but with the help of events and more, we are now almost 1000 community members strong (Facebook Group) and would not be able to do what we do for the community without our devoted volunteers and amazing community members.
